Electroluminescent Wire (glow wire)
Electroluminescent wire uses an alternating current at a very high voltage to stimulate an internal coating of phosphorus to glow. Turns out, disposable cameras contain much of the circuitry needed to drive this reaction! Simply snip off the large capacitor so the current keeps flowing and solder the ends of the EL wire to the correct terminals of the transformer. Press the flash button to "charge" and there you go!
